I hope that your Thanksgiving break was filled with family time, lots of food, some relaxation for you and your students, and a time to enjoy each other. We are entering the final three weeks of the semester and the last push before Christmas break and a new year.
This month students will see some new instruction, the wrapping up of the semester's work, and possibly some projects that they will need to complete. Students will focus on showing us the great things they have learned. Please help support your students in these next three weeks as they work here and at home.
We had our first two E-Learning days last month, these are formerly known as snow days and are a required portion of our new school calendar. When our District cancels school due to any circumstance, your student will have assignments to complete for that day. They will be posted by 8 am in one of the online learning platforms that students use daily. This shift was handled very well by many students but may have been confusing for some parents. The explanation can be a little long, but the short story is that students must log on and complete work these days. These assignments will count towards their grades. I thank everyone for the quick adoption of this new method of delivering academic material. If you have any questions, please reach out to the school.
We are well on our way to having a new school, construction is on pace, and you can begin to see the new wing take shape as they start framing. I want to thank all of the students, staff, and parents who are being so patient with us while we are going through this process, we will have a fantastic new place for students in just a short time.
